PARKING SENSOR SYSTEM FUNCTION

• The parking sensor system has an obstruction detection function, beep sound adjustment function, and an on-board diagnostic function.
Obstruction detection function
• The obstruction detection function produces ultrasonic waves to measure the distance to an obstruction. The buzzer sounds pattern switches according to the distance between the detecting vehicle and the obstruction.
Beep sound adjustment function
• The volume of the parking sensor buzzer can be adjusted. Refer to the Workshop Manual for the beep sound adjustment procedure.
On-board diagnostic function
• If the parking sensor control module detects the ultrasonic sensor malfunction (open circuit, freezing, soiling) the buzzer sounds according to the following:
