Purpose, Function
• The fuel pressure relief valve discharges fuel to control the pressure in the common rail at the target value.
Construction
• The fuel pressure relief valve is located in the common rail.
• The fuel pressure relief valve consists of the spring, ball, and push rod.
Operation
• The coil is energized and the push rod is operated to open the fuel passage according to the control signal from the PCM.
• The fuel passage opens and the pressure in the common rail flows to the lower case side.
