Warning
•  A hot engine and exhaust system can cause severe burns. Turn off the engine and wait until they are cool before removing the exhaust system.

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(E)].)

2.  Remove the catalytic converter (GPF). (See CATALYTIC CONVERTER (GPF) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-X 2.0].)

3.  Remove the A/F sensor. (See AIR FUEL RATIO (A/F) SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-X 2.0].)

4.  Remove using the procedure shown in the figure.

5.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

Exhaust Manifold Installation Note

1.  Temporarily tighten the exhaust manifold installation nuts shown in the figure by hand in a clockwise order.

2.  Tighten the exhaust manifold installation nuts in a clockwise order.

3.  Tighten the exhaust manifold installation nuts in a clockwise order again.
