Purpose/Function
• Detects the EGR pressures before and after passing through the EGR valve as basic information for mainly EGR control.
• Detects the EGR pressures before and after passing through the EGR valve and sends the EGR pressure signal to the PCM.
Construction
• The EGR pressure sensor is located near the EGR pipe.
• A semiconductor strain gauge has been adopted to the detection area of the EGR pressure sensor.
Operation
• The signal, which fluctuates according to the EGR pressure, is sent to the PCM.
