Purpose/Function
• Detects the swirl control valve open/closed condition to achieve optimum combustion.
• Detects the swirl control valve open/closed condition and inputs it to the PCM as a swirl control valve opening angle signal.
Construction
• The swirl control valve position sensor is built into the intake manifold.
• An MR element has been adopted to the detection area of the swirl control valve position sensor.
Operation
• The signal, which fluctuates according to the swirl control valve open/closed condition, is input to the PCM.
