Purpose/Function
• Detects the pressure in the cylinder, which is required for the SPCCI (SPark Controlled Compression Ignition) control.
• Detects the pressure in the cylinder and sends it to the PCM as a cylinder pressure signal.
Construction
• The cylinder pressure sensor is installed to the cylinder head.
• A piezoelectric element has been adopted to the detection area of the cylinder pressure sensor to detect the pressure in the cylinder.
Operation
• The signal, which fluctuates according to the pressure in the cylinder, is input to the PCM.
