PID/DATA Monitor Inspection

1.  Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.

2.  Switch the ignition ON (engine off).

3.  Display PCM PID [EGR_ACT] and PCM simulation item [EGR_COMD] using the M-MDS. (See PID/DATA MONITOR INSPECTION.)(See PID/DATA MONITOR TABLE [PCM (SKYACTIV-X)].)(See SIMULATION INSPECTION.)(See SIMULATION TABLE [PCM (SKYACTIV-X)].)

4.  Verify that the PID [EGR_ACT] value conforms to the simulation item [EGR_COMD] value when the EGR valve opening angle simulation item [EGR_COMD] is driven using the simulation function.

•  If not as verified, replace the EGR valve. (See EGR VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-X 2.0].)
