Replacement parts

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(E)])

2.  Remove the engine cover. (See ENGINE COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-X 2.0].)

3.  Drain the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [SKYACTIV-X 2.0])

4.  Remove the left wall (rear). (See SIDE WALL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-X 2.0])

5.  Remove rear wall. (See SIDE WALL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-X 2.0])

6.  Disconnect the water pressure sensor connector and remove the bolts shown in the figure.

7.  Remove the hose shown in the figure.

8.  Remove the bypass pipe.

Caution

•  If the vise is tightened with excessive force, it could deform or damage the bypass pipe. When securing the bypass pipe in a vise, be careful not to deform or damage the bypass pipe.

9.  Secure the bypass pipe in the vise and remove the water pressure sensor.

10.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

11.  Add engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [SKYACTIV-X 2.0])

12.  Inspect for engine coolant leakage. (See ENGINE COOLANT PROTECTION INSPECTION [SKYACTIV-X 2.0])
