Outline
• The PCM sends a duty signal to the electric water pump according to the engine operation conditions to adjust the cooling performance of the water-cooled charge air cooler.

Operation
• The PCM operates the electric water pump to decrease the radiator coolant temperature (engine coolant temperature sensor No.3) or the intake air temperature (boost air temperature sensor) after passing through the water-cooled charge air cooler.
• When all of the following conditions are met, the PCM operates the electric water pump.

― Battery voltage: 9—16 V
― While driving vehicle (condition other than engine start)
• If any one of the above conditions is not met, the electric water pump drive is stopped.
Electric water pump operation/non-operation is repeated

• Supercharger is not operating and engine coolant temperature sensor No.3 temperature is specified value or less
Electric water pump operates continuously

• Supercharger is operating or engine coolant temperature sensor No.3 temperature is specified value or more
