Purpose/Function
• Detects the neutral position of the shift lever.
Construction
• The neutral sensor is installed to the manual transaxle.
• The neutral sensor has adopted a magnetic resistance (MR) element to the detection area.
Operation
• The neutral sensor signal is input to the PCM.
• The voltage value input to the PCM fluctuates based on the angle of the neutral detecting part while in neutral.
