CONDENSER INSPECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5]

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

2.  Discharge the refrigerant. (See REFRIGERANT RECOVERY.)

3.  Remove the front under cover No.1. (See FRONT UNDER COVER No.1 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Drain the engine coolant.

5.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Plug hole plate
(2)  Air cleaner, air hose and fresh air duct component
(3)  Cooling fan component
(4)  Radiator

6.  Remove the condenser. (See CONDENSER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].)

7.  Inspect the condenser for cracks, damage, and oil leakage.

•  If there is any malfunction, replace the condenser. (See CONDENSER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].)

8.  Visually inspect for bent fins for restriction or foreign matter.

•  If any fins are restricted, remove the foreign matter.

9.  Visually inspect for bent fins.

•  If any fins are bent, use the end of a flathead screwdriver to straighten fins.
