Air Mix Actuator

Purpose

•  The air mix actuator moves the air mix door in the A/C unit to adjust the temperature of the air blown from the air vent.

Function

Door open/close function

•  The door open/close function opens/closes the air mix door in the HOT or COLD positions.

Door position detection function

•  The door position detection function fluctuates the potentiometer voltage value which is linked to the air mix actuator motor drive.

Structure/construction

•  A potentiometer-type air mix actuator has been adopted.

•  The driver-side air mix actuator is located on the driver’s side of the A/C unit.

•  The passenger-side air mix actuator is located on the passenger’s side of the A/C unit.

•  The operation range of the air mix actuator is as indicated in the diagram.

Operation

Airflow Mode Actuator

Purpose

•  The airflow mode actuator moves the airflow mode door in the A/C unit to switch the air vent.

Function

Door open/close function

•  The door open/close function opens/closes the airflow mode door in the VENT, BI-LEVEL, HEAT, DEF/HEAT, or DEFROSTER positions.

Door position detection function

•  The door position detection function fluctuates the potentiometer voltage value which is linked to the airflow mode actuator motor drive.

Structure/construction

•  A potentiometer-type airflow mode actuator has been adopted.

•  The airflow mode actuator is located on the passenger’s side of the A/C unit.

•  The operation range of the airflow mode actuator is as indicated in the diagram.

•  The door position detection function fluctuates the potentiometer voltage value which is linked to the air intake actuator motor drive.

Structure/construction

•  A potentiometer-type air intake actuator has been adopted.

•  The air intake actuator is located on the blower unit.

•  The operation range of the air intake actuator is as indicated in the diagram.

Function

•  The door open/close function opens/closes the rear vent door in the VENT, BI-LEVEL, HEAT, DEF/HEAT, or DEFROSTER positions.

Door position detection function

•  The door position detection function fluctuates the potentiometer voltage value which is linked to the rear vent actuator motor drive.

Structure/construction

•  A potentiometer-type rear vent actuator has been adopted.

•  The rear vent actuator is located on the A/C case.

•  The operation range of the rear vent actuator is as indicated in the diagram.
