Purpose
• The buckle switch signals each module as to whether the seat belt tongue is inserted or not.
Function
• The buckle switch sends a seat belt status signal to each module (fastened or unfastened).

• The buckle switch turns on (contact point: Closed)/off (contact point: Open) according to the seat belt tongue insertion condition.
Construction/Operation
• The buckle switch is integrated with the following buckles.

― Front buckle (driver-side, passenger-side)
― Rear buckle
• When the seat belt tongue is not inserted into the buckle, the switch turns on (contact point: Closed).
• When the seat belt tongue is inserted into the buckle, the switch turns off (contact point: Open).
