Gap Adjustment

1. Verify that the gap between the hood and the body is within the specification.

Standard clearance

a: 2.7—5.7 mm {0.11—0.22 in}

b: 2.5—4.0 mm {0.10—0.15 in}

• If the measured value exceeds the standard clearance, adjust the hood using the following procedure.

2. Loosen the bolts and adjust the hood.

3. Tighten the bolts. (See HOOD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

Height Difference Adjustment

1. Verify that the height difference between the hood and the body is within the specification.

Standard clearance

a: –2.0—2.0 mm {–0.078—0.078 in}

b: –1.0—1.0 mm {–0.039—0.039 in}

• If the measured value exceeds the standard clearance, adjust the hood using the following procedure.

2. Turn the stop rubber to adjust the height of the hood.
