Purpose

•  When the lock button/unlock button of the remote transmitter is pressed, ID data and button operation information are transmitted to the keyless receiver.
•  When the request signal is received, ID data is sent to the keyless receiver.

Function

•  When the remote transmitter sends ID data and button operation, the operation indicator light illuminates.
•  To lock the doors, fuel-filler lid and liftgate, press the lock button and the hazard warning lights will flash once.
Note
•  A beep sound will be heard once.(With the advanced keyless function)
•  To confirm that all the doors, fuel-filler lid and liftgate have been locked, press the lock button again within 5 seconds. If they are closed and locked, the horn will sound.
•  To unlock the driver’s door and fuel-filler lid, press the unlock button and the hazard warning lights will flash twice.
Note
•  A beep sound will be heard twice.(With the advanced keyless function)
•  To open the trunk lid, press the trunk lid open button until the trunk lid opens.(4SD)
•  To cut the intruder sensor ultrasonic wave output, press the intruder sensor cancel button.(With intruder sensor)
•  A power saving function has been adopted in which the battery power consumption of the remote transmitter can be suppressed by turning off the advanced keyless entry*1 and push button start system functions.
Note
•  After you have turned on the power saving function according to the following procedure, the hazard warning lights and sound operate*1 one time.
―  Press the lock button on the transmitter 4 times within 3 seconds to turn on the operation indicator light.
―  Press the lock button continuously for 1.5 seconds or longer while the operation indicator light turns on (for 5 seconds).
―  Press any of the buttons on the transmitter to make sure that the operation indicator light does not turn on/flash.
•  After you have turned off the power saving function according to the following procedure, the hazard warning lights and sound operate*1 one time.
―  Press any of the buttons on the transmitter to make sure that the operation indicator light does not turn on/flash.
―  Press the lock button on the transmitter 4 times within 3 seconds to turn on the operation indicator light.
―  Press the lock button continuously for 1.5 seconds or longer while the operation indicator light turns on (for 5 seconds).

Construction

•  The remote transmitter is built into the operation indicator light.
•  The remote transmitter secures specific electronic codes (key ID number) built into the electronic communication device (transponder).
•  In case the transmitter is inoperable due to battery depletion, the doors can be locked/unlocked using the auxiliary key.

•  When the request signal is received from the LF antenna (125kHz), ID data is sent to the keyless receiver using an electromagnetic wave.
