Driver-side Decoration Panel

1.  To prevent scratches or damage, apply protective tape to the position shown in the figure.

Caution

•  If work using protective tape is performed in an area where the temperature can increase drastically or the protective tape is left adhered for a long period of time, tape adhesive could remain area where the protective tape was applied when the it is peeled off. When applying protective tape, avoid areas where the temperature of the tape can increase drastically and peel off the protective tape soon after the work is completed.

2.  Insert a remover tool into the position shown in the figure.

3.  Move the remover tool in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and detach the clip.

4.  Move the remover tool in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and detach the clip.

5.  Move the driver-side decoration panel in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and remove it while detaching the clips.

6.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

Note

•  When replacing the driver-side decoration panel, remove the driver-side ventilator grille. (LH) (See VENTILATOR GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(E)].)

Passenger-side Decoration Panel

1.  To prevent scratches or damage, apply protective tape to the position shown in the figure.

2.  Insert a remover tool into the position shown in the figure.

3.  Move the remover tool in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and detach the clips.

4.  Move the passenger-side decoration panel in the order of arrows (1), (2), and (3) shown in the figure, and remove it while detaching the clips A and clip B.

5.  Insert a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver into the position shown in the figure.

6.  Move the tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and detach the clip from the dashboard.

7.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

8.  When installing the passenger-side decoration panel, refer to the passenger-side decoration panel installation Note. (See Passenger-side Decoration Panel Installation Note.)

Note

•  When replacing the passenger-side decoration panel, remove the driver-side ventilator grille. (RH) (See VENTILATOR GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(E)].)

•  When replacing the passenger-side decoration panel, remove the passenger-side ventilator grille. (See VENTILATOR GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(E)].)

Passenger-side Decoration Panel Installation Note

1.  After installing the clips at the two locations shown in the figure, install the remaining clips.
