Note

• The integrity of the hazard warning switch cannot be determined from a single part. When inspecting the hazard warning switch, perform the following procedure.

1. Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.

2. Perform the DTC inspection for the dash electrical supply unit. (See DTC INSPECTION.)

• If DTCs are detected, repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [DASH-ELECTRICAL SUPPLY UNIT (E)].)

• If DTCs are not detected, go to the next step.

3. Using the M-MDS, display the HZRD_SW PID for the climate control unit. (See PID/DATA MONITOR INSPECTION.)

• If not within the specification, replace the climate control unit. (See CLIMATE CONTROL UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [FULL-AUTO AIR CONDITIONER (E)].) (See CLIMATE CONTROL UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MANUAL AIR CONDITIONER (E)].)
