Purpose
• The parking sensor system can be optionally switched between enabled and disabled.
• The parking sensor OFF switch indicator light is turned on/flashed to notify the user of the parking sensor system conditions.
Function
• The switch operation signal is sent to the parking assist unit (ultrasonic).
• The parking sensor OFF switch indicator light Illuminates when the parking sensor system is operating, and flashes if there is a malfunction in the ultrasonic sensor circuit.
Structure/Construction
• The parking sensor OFF switch is built into the cluster switch.
Operation
Parking sensor OFF switch
1. When the parking sensor OFF switch operates, the switch operation signal is sent (1) to the parking assist unit (ultrasonic).
2. When the parking assist unit (ultrasonic) receives the parking sensor OFF switch operation signal, it switches (2) the parking sensor system on/off.
