•   To prevent injury, remove the curtain air bag module before performing the work.

1.  Drill the spot welds in the 80 locations shown in the figure.

2.  Remove the roof panel.

3.  Drill the spot welds in area B (16 locations (without sunroof), 8 locations (with sunroof)) shown in the figure from the topside of the roof panel and remove the roof reinforcement No.1 (without sunroof), roof reinforcement No.2, roof reinforcement No.3 and roof reinforcement No.4 (without sunroof).

Note

•  Be careful not to damage the roof reinforcements during installation as it will be reused.

1.  Drill the spot welds in the 94 locations in area A shown in the figure.

2.  Drill the spot welds in the 14 locations in area B shown in the figure.

3.  Remove the roof panel.

4.  Drill the spot welds in area C (16 locations (without sunroof), 8 locations (with sunroof)) shown in the figure from the topside of the roof panel and remove the roof reinforcement No.1 (without sunroof), roof reinforcement No.2, roof reinforcement No.3 and roof reinforcement No.4 (without sunroof).
