Outline

Description
•  The vehicle speed decreases unintentionally during intelligent speed assistance (ISA) operation.
Possible cause
•  Personalization feature not set
•  Invalid SD card
•  Forward sensing camera (FSC) optical axis deviation
•  Forward sensing camera (FSC) malfunction
•  Connectivity master unit (CMU) malfunction
•  BCM malfunction

VERIFY ALL SYSTEM DTCs
•  Perform the DTC inspection.
•  Are any DTCs displayed?
Yes
Repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
No
Go to the next step.

VERIFY PERSONALIZATION FEATURES SETTING
•  Verify the [notification and warning volume] using the personalization features.
Note
•  For personalization features setting using the center display, refer to Mazda Connect's [PERSONALIZATION FEATURES].
•  Was the speed limit sign threshold set to Automatic?
Yes
Complete the symptom troubleshooting. (Explain the system operation conditions to the customer.)
No
Go to the next step.

VERIFY IF SD CARD IS VALID
•  Perform diagnostic assist function “Storage Diagnostic Test” MAP Areas.
(Refer to the [DIAGNOSTIC ASSIST FUNCTION] in the workshop manual)
•  Has the traffic sign speed limit sync been turned off?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Explain to the customer that the SD card is not valid.
Repair completion verification
VERIFY THAT VEHICLE IS REPAIRED
•  Install/connect the part removed/disconnected during the troubleshooting procedure.
•  Has the malfunction symptom been eliminated?
Yes
Complete the symptom troubleshooting. (Explain contents of repair to customer)
No
Refer to the controller area network (CAN) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error.
If the CAN communication is normal, perform the diagnosis from Step 1.
•  If the malfunction is not resolved, replace the BCM.
