Purpose

• The adaptive LED headlights control module determines the surroundings and vehicle conditions based on the signals from each module, and changes the headlight illumination range based on the determination result.

Automatic configuration function

• When the ignition is switched ON (engine off or on) after the adaptive LED headlights control module is replaced, the adaptive LED headlights control module reads the vehicle specification information sent via CAN communication from the instrument cluster, and stores the vehicle specification information.

On-board diagnostic function

• The adaptive LED headlights control module is equipped with an on-board diagnosis function which records DTCs in the event of a malfunction.

Structure/Construction

• The adaptive LED headlights control module is located inside the dashboard.

Operation

1. The adaptive LED headlights control module receives (1) each signal from each module.

2. The adaptive LED headlights control module determines (2) the surroundings and vehicle conditions based on the received each signal.

3. The adaptive LED headlights control module sends (3) a control signal or target optical axis signal to the front combination light based on the determination result.
