ADAPTIVE LED HEADLIGHTS CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Note
•  The adaptive LED headlights control module prior to replacement stores the vehicle specification information.
•  A new adaptive LED headlights control module does not store any vehicle specification information.
•  The adaptive LED headlights control module records the vehicle attitude angle while it is unoccupied.
•  The new adaptive LED headlights control module does not record the vehicle attitude angle while it is unoccupied.
•  The adaptive LED headlights control module reads the vehicle attitude angle information and records the vehicle attitude angle while it is unoccupied when the headlight auto leveling system initial setting is performed after the adaptive LED headlights control module is replaced.
•  Even if the battery is disconnected, the unoccupied vehicle attitude angle recorded by the adaptive LED headlights control module is not erased.

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(E)].)

2.  Remove the front scuff plate (RH). (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove the front side trim (RH). (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  While pressing tabs of the bracket in the direction of arrows (1) shown in the figure, pull the adaptive LED headlights control module connector in the direction of arrow (2) to pull out the adaptive LED headlights control module from the bracket.

5.  Disconnect the connector and remove the adaptive LED headlights control module.

6.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

7.  Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) and perform the adaptive LED headlights control module global central configuration (GCC).

8.  Clear the DTCs using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC.)

9.  If the adaptive LED headlights control module is replaced with a new one, perform the headlight auto leveling system initialization. (See HEADLIGHT AUTO LEVELING SYSTEM INITIALIZATION [(E)].)
