DTC P024E [MZ-CD 1.6 (Y6) (EURO4 emission level)]
id0102g6223000
DTC P024E |
Air bypass valve actuator control circuit low input |
---|---|
DETECTION CONDITION
|
• The PCM monitors the air bypass valve actuator control signal circuit at PCM terminal 248. If the PCM detects that air bypass valve actuator control circuit is short to ground for 2s when the PCM duty-controls the air bypass valve actuator, the PCM determines that there is a short to ground circuit in the air bypass valve actuator control circuit.
|
POSSIBLE CAUSE
|
• Air bypass valve connector or terminal malfunction
• PCM connector or terminal malfunction
• Air bypass valve actuator control circuit and air bypass valve position sensor ground circuit are short to each other
• Short to ground in wiring harness between air bypass valve terminal D and PCM terminal 248
• Air bypass valve position sensor malfunction
• PCM malfunction

5
|
INSPECT AIR BYPASS VALVE ACTUATOR CONTROL SIGNAL AND AIR BYPASS VALVE POSITION SENSOR GROUND CIRCUITS FOR SHORT TO EACH OTHER
• Air bypass valve component and PCM connectors are disconnected.
• Inspect for continuity between air bypass valve terminals B and D (wiring harness-side).
• Is there any continuity?
|
Yes
|
Repair or replace the wiring harness for a possible short to each other, then go to Step 7.
|
No
|
Go to the next step.
