DETECTION CONDITION
|
• The PCM monitors and compares the signals from APP sensor No.1 and APP sensor No.2. The accelerator pedal position calculated from the APP sensor No.1 value is compared with the accelerator pedal position calculated from the APP sensor No.2, and if any of the following conditions is met, the PCM determines that there is a malfunction in the accelerator pedal position performance.

|
• Intermittent open or short circuit in following wiring harness:
• APP sensor malfunction
• PCM malfunction

VERIFY FREEZE FRAME DATA HAS BEEN RECORDED
• Has the FREEZE FRAME DATA been recorded?

Yes
|
Go to the next step.

No
|
Record the FREEZE FRAME DATA on the repair order, then go to the next step.

VERIFY RELATED REPAIR INFORMATION AVAILABILITY
• Verify related service repair information availability.
• Is any related repair information available?
|
Yes
|
Perform repair or diagnosis according to the available repair information.
• If the vehicle is not repaired, go to the next step.
|
No
|
Go to the next step.

VERIFY RELATED PENDING CODE AND/OR DTC
• Switch the ignition to OFF.
• Perform the Pending Trouble Code Access Procedure and DTC Reading Procedure.
• Is the other PENDING CODE/DTC also present?

Yes
|
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
|
No
|
Go to the next step.
|

|
INSPECT APP SENSOR
• Inspect the APP sensor.
• Is there any malfunction?
|
Yes
|
Inspect and repair for open or short circuit between the following wiring harness;
• APP sensor terminal A—PCM terminal 1L
• APP sensor terminal B—PCM terminal 1T
• APP sensor terminal C—PCM terminal 1AF
• APP sensor terminal D—PCM terminal 1AB
• APP sensor terminal E—PCM terminal 1X
• APP sensor terminal F—PCM terminal 1S
If normal, replace the accelerator pedal.

No
|
Intermittent concern exists.
Go to the next step.

VERIFY THAT DTC P060D:00 TROUBLESHOOTING IS COMPLETED
• Make sure to reconnect all disconnected connectors.
• Clear the DTC from the PCM memory using the M-MDS.
• Run the vehicle under the FREEZE FRAME DATA stored condition.
• Is the same DTC present?

Yes
|
Repeat the inspection from Step 1.
• If the malfunction recurs, replace the PCM.
Go to the next step.

No
|
Go to the next step.

VERIFY AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE
• Perform the After Repair Procedure.
• Are any DTCs present?
|
Yes
|
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
|
No
|
DTC troubleshooting completed.
|
