• An oil pressure type chain tensioner has been adopted for the timing chain tensioner. The tension of the timing chain is constantly maintained, using the oil pressure and the spring force in the chain tensioner.
• The oil pressure chain tensioner consists of a ratchet and rack that fixes the piston in place when the engine is started, and a piston and spring that push against the tensioner arm.
