INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE (IAT) SENSOR NO.2 INSPECTION [MZ-CD 1.6 (Y6) (EURO4 emission level)]

Visual Inspection

1.  Remove the IAT sensor No.2. (See INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE (IAT) SENSOR NO.2 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZ-CD 1.6 (Y6) (EURO4 emission level)].)

2.  Verify that there are no metal shavings on the sensor.

3.  Visually inspect the IAT sensor No.2 for the following:

•  Damage

•  Cracks

•  Rusted sensor terminal

•  Bent sensor terminal

―  If there is any malfunction, replace the IAT sensor No.2.

4.  Install the IAT sensor No.2. (See INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE (IAT) SENSOR NO.2 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZ-CD 1.6 (Y6) (EURO4 emission level)].)

Resistance Inspection

1.  Disconnect the IAT sensor No.2 connector.

2.  Measure the resistance between IAT sensor No.2 terminals A and B.
