GEAR POSITION INDICATOR LIGHT CONSTRUCTION/OPERATION [FN4A-EL]
id051701285900
• The PCM sends a gear position signal to the instrument cluster via CAN based on the signal from M range switch.
• When the driver’s down-shift operation is cancelled, the gear position indicator light flash twice to alert the driver of a down-shift cancellation.
• If the ATF temperature reaches 120 °C {248 °F} or more while driving in manual shift mode, the gear position indicator light turns off and the PCM switches to automatic shift mode to reduce load on the ATX. After the ATF temperature decreases to 110 °C {230 °F} or less and a period of time has passed, the gear position indicator light turns back on and driving in manual shift mode is restored.
