Shift-lock Release Conditions
• The shift-lock is released when all the following conditions are satisfied (except when the shift-lock release mechanism is operated).
-
― The selector lever is in the P position (P position switch is on)
― The ignition switch is in the ACC or ON position
― The brake pedal is depressed (Brake switch is on)
Shift-lock Operation (When shift-lock release conditions are not satisfied)
• The shift-lock solenoid is not energized when the shift-lock release conditions are not satisfied.
• When the shift-lock solenoid is not energized, the stopper is rotated to the position where it restricts the block movement.
• As a result, the selector lever cannot be shifted to the R position from the P position.

Shift-lock Release Mechanism Operation
• The shift-lock can be released by operating the shift-lock release mechanism even when the shift-lock release conditions are not satisfied.

• As a result, the shift-lock can be released forcibly.
