AUTO-DIMMING MIRROR OPERATION

id091200820400

1.  The day/night sensor detects the ambient brightness (A) and sends the signal to the CPU.

2.  The glare detection sensor detects the amount of light from the rear (B) and sends the signal to the CPU.

3.  The CPU compares A and B, and determines the rate of mirror reflectance.

4.  The CPU controls the rate of mirror reflectance through voltage regulation.

5.  The rate of reflectance is determined as high when the CPU receives an R position signal from the TR switch or back-up light switch.
