•  If the trunk lid cannot be opened for reasons such as a dead battery or a malfunction in the electrical system, the trunk lid can be opened using the trunk lid release lever, which releases the trunk lid latch manually.

•  When an open signal is sent from the BCM to the trunk lid release actuator, the actuator performs the trunk lid latch open operation. At the same time, the trunk lid lifts away via the spring force of the trunk lid weatherstrip and stopper rubber.
