KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM OPERATION

Lock/unlock
• When the LOCK/UNLOCK buttons are operated at a distance (within approx. 2.5) from the vehicle, all the doors and the trunk lid/unlock.
• An auto-lock function has been adopted which automatically locks the doors if any one of the following operations is not performed within 30 s after the UNLOCK button on the transmitter is pressed.

― Open any door or trunk lid.
― Locking/unlocking using the driver's front door key cylinder.
― Locking/unlocking using the driver's door lock knob.
― Ignition key is inserted into the steering lock.
• To prevent improper operation while the vehicle is moving, the doors cannot be locked/unlocked by operating the LOCK/UNLOCK buttons on the transmitter while the key is inserted in the steering lock.
• An answer-back function has been adopted which flashes the hazard warning lights when the doors are locked/unlocked using the LOCK/UNLOCK buttons on the transmitter.

• Vehicles with the theft-deterrent system are connected to the theft-deterrent set/cancel.
Auto Re-lock Operation
• Automatically locks the doors and the liftgate if any one of the following operations is not performed within 30 s after the UNLOCK button on the transmitter is pressed.

― A door or the liftgate (5HB) is opened.
― Locking/unlocking using the driver's front door key cylinder.
― Locking/unlocking using the driver's door lock knob.
― Ignition key is inserted into the key cylinder.
