Action illumination

•  The action illumination is linked to the audio switch operation during TNS ON to turn the audio panel illumination on and off.The action illumination can be turned on or off by the user.
•  The main microcomputer of the audio unit sends illumination signals to the sub-microcomputer according to the audio panel switch operation. The sub-microcomputer controls the on/off illumination of the audio panel based on the illumination signal from the main microcomputer.
•  The target operations of the action illumination are as follows:
―  Audio power supply ON/OFF
―  Volume up/down
―  Audio mode changing
―  SEEK up/down
―  Track up/down
―  FF/REW

Welcome mode

Outline

•  The welcome mode includes a welcome illumination presentation using lighting of the audio panel, and a welcome sound presentation using sound effects.
•  The welcome illumination uses the audio switch illumination and the action illumination. The audio unit initiates on/off control of the welcome illumination based on signals from the instrument cluster.
•  For the welcome sound, the audio unit initiates the sound control based on ACC signals. The welcome sound is produced from the door speakers.
•  The welcome mode can be turned on or off by the user.

Operation

Welcome illumination
•  When the audio unit receives a welcome illumination on signal from the instrument cluster, the audio switch illumination illuminates after 0.8 s have elapsed.
•  When the audio unit receives a welcome illumination on signal from the instrument cluster, the action illumination illuminates after 1.6 s have elapsed.
•  If the audio unit meets the following conditions, the welcome illumination turns off.
―  Welcome illumination-off signal is received from the instrument cluster
―  Ignition is switched ON
―  TNS is on
―  100 s have elapsed after welcome illumination on signal is received.
Welcome sound
•  The audio unit produces the welcome sound after 1.5 s (without Bose®)/2.3 s (with Bose®) have elapsed from detection of the ACC signal.
•  If the audio unit meets the following conditions, the welcome sound is stopped.
―  ACC signal is off
―  Voice guidance interrupt from car-navigation system occurs
