• A CAN (Control Area Network) system has been adopted in which multiple signals are transmitted over a single communication path as a result of wiring harness simplification.

• Twisted-pair wiring is used for connections between the following modules.

― PCM

― TCM (ATX)

― EHPAS control module

― DSC HU/CM (with DSC)

― ABS HU/CM (with ABS)

― BCM

― Rear vehicle monitoring control module (RH) (with rear vehicle monitoring system)

― Fuel additive control module (MZ-CD 1.6 (Y6) (EURO4 emission level))

― SAS control module

― Keyless control module (with advanced keyless entry and push button start system)

― AFS control module (with AFS (adaptive front lighting system))

― Instrument cluster

― Information display (without maintenance monitor)

― Multi information display (with maintenance monitor)

― Water heater unit (with water heater system)

― Bluetooth unit (with Bluetooth system (HF/TEL system))

― Audio unit

― Climate control unit (with full-auto air conditioner)

• With an on-board diagnostic function included for each multiplex module, display of DTCs using the Mazda Modular Diagnostic System (M-MDS) has improved serviceability.
