CONNECTING ROD SIDE CLEARANCE INSPECTION [WITHOUT DIESEL PARTICULATE FILTER]

1. Install the connecting rod cap. (See Connecting Rod Cap Assembly Note)

2. Measure the connecting rod large end side clearance. Replace the connecting rod and cap if necessary.

0.110-0.262 mm {0.0044-0.0103 in}

0.512 mm {0.0202 in}

3. Remove the connecting rod cap.
