• When a customer reports a vehicle malfunction, check the malfunction indicator light (MIL) indication and diagnostic trouble code (DTC), then diagnose the malfunction according to the following flowchart.

― If DTCs exist, diagnose the applicable DTC inspection. (See DTC TABLE[MZ-CD 1.6 (Y6)].)

― If DTCs do not exist and the MIL does not illuminate or flash, diagnose the applicable symptom troubleshooting. (See SYMPTOM DIAGNOSTIC INDEX[MZ-CD 1.6 (Y6)].)
