Construction
• The thermostat housing is flange-mounted to the cylinder head on the transmission side of the engine.
• The coolant thermostat valve and ECT sensor is integrated into the thermostat housing.
• The thermostat housing is made of plastic and cannot be disassembled.
• ECT sensor can be replaced separately.
Operation
• The coolant thermostat valve opens the flow to the radiator at a coolant temperature of 88 °C {190 °F}.
