POSITIVE CRANKCASE VENTILATION (PCV) VALVE INSPECTION [LF, L3]

1.  Remove the plug hole plate. (See PLUG HOLE PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [LF, L3].)

2.  Remove the battery cover. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [LF, L3].)

3.  Disconnect the negative battery cable.

4.  Remove the intake manifold. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [LF, L3].

5.  Remove the PCV valve.

6.  Verify that there is no airflow when pressure is applied to port A.

•  If there is airflow, replace the PCV valve.

7.  Verify that there is airflow when vacuum is applied to port A.

•  If there is no airflow, replace the PCV valve.
