•  The MAP sensor is attached to the housing (air pipe) of the intake manifold valve behind the intake manifold valve.

•  The signal from the MAP sensor is used to control the boost pressure of the variable turbocharger.

•  If the actual value differs from the target value stored in the PCM, the PCM will initiate an adjustment operation by means of the boost pressure control solenoid valve.
