•  The IAT sensor No.2 is attached to the housing (air pipe) of air bypass valve (High power-Euro 4) and intake throttle valve.

•  The IAT sensor No.2 is a thermistor type, the resistance changes according to the intake air temperature.

•  The resistance decreases if the intake air temperature increases and conversely increases if the intake air temperature decreases.

•  The IAT sensor No.2 provides the second intake air temperature reading for the PCM. The strategy uses it as a density correction factor. It is a temperature sensitive resistor (thermistor), which interfaces with a resistive network internal to the PCM to provide a ratiometric output voltage inversely proportional to intake air, or air charge mixture temperature.
