Construction
• There is one pair of up and down switches on both the left and right sides of the steering wheel.
• The down switch is built into the audio control switches. (For vehicles without audio control switches, there is only a down switch.)

Operation
Sending of up/down-shift request signals
-
• The TCM detects an up/down-shift request signal according to the voltage applied to terminal T.
• When the up or down switch is operated, the resistor built into the down switch changes the voltage applied to TCM terminal T.
• The TCM controls upshifting or downshifting based on this change in voltage.
