INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE
• Measure battery voltage.
• Is voltage more than 9 V?

Yes
|
Go to the next step.

No
|
Battery is weak.
• Inspect charging system.

INSPECT WIRING HARNESS BETWEEN W.HEAT 40 A FUSE AND WATER HEATER UNIT
• Turn ignition switch to ON position.
• Measure voltage at water heater unit connector terminal E.
• Is voltage more than 9 V?

Yes
|
Go to the next step.
|
No
|
Repair wiring harness.
|

INSPECT WATER HEATER UNIT
• Clear the DTC. (See CLEARING DTC [WATER HEATER SYSTEM].)
• Perform the KOEO Self Test. (See DTC DISPLAY [WATER HEATER SYSTEM].)
• Is the same DTC present?

Yes
|
Replace the water heater unit.
|
No
|
Go to the next step.
|

VERIFY AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE
• Perform the after repair procedure. (See CLEARING DTC [WATER HEATER SYSTEM].)
• Are any DTCs present?

Yes
|
Go to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
|
No
|
Troubleshooting completed.
|
