• The A/C compressor cycling switch is installed on cooler hose (LO) No.2 and detects the evaporator discharge pressure.
• The A/C compressor cycling switch turns off when the discharge pressure becomes approx.0.145—0.158 MPa {1.48—1.61 kgf·cm2, 21.0—23.0 psi}and the PCM turns off the magnetic clutch.
• The A/C compressor cycling switch and the magnetic clutch turn on again when the discharge pressure becomes 0.29 MPa {2.96 kgf·cm2, 42.0 psi} or more. Due to this, the pressure in the evaporator is adjusted and surface temperature is controlled to prevent freezing.
