Purpose, Function
• The starter relay operates by the signal from the start stop unit and the PCM control, and it supplies battery power to the starter.
Construction
• The starter relay is installed on the relay and fuse block.
Operation
• The signal from the start stop unit is sent to the starter relay. When a ground is established in the PCM circuit by the PCM control, electric current flows to the coil, the contact point is drawn by the generated electromagnetic force, and it switches on. When the contact point switches on, battery power is supplied to the starter.
