Purpose/Function

•  Detects the fuel pressure in the common rail as basic information for mainly determining the fuel injection amount.
•  Detects the fuel pressure in the common rail and sends it to the PCM as a fuel pressure signal.

Construction

•  Installed on the common rail.

•  A piezoelectric element has been adopted (as the detecting element) for detecting the fuel pressure.

Operation

•  Sends the signal, which fluctuates according to the fuel pressure, to the PCM.
