Purpose/Function

•  Depending on the engine operation conditions, the coolant control valve position sensor detects the open/closed condition of the coolant control valve so that the appropriate amount of engine coolant can be sent to the appropriate coolant passage at the appropriate timing.
•  The coolant control valve position sensor detects the open/closed condition of the coolant control valve and sends it to the PCM as an coolant control valve opening angle signal.

Construction

•  The coolant control valve position sensor is integrated with the coolant control valve.

•  The coolant control valve position sensor has adopted a contact-type rotary to the detection area for detecting the open/closed condition of the coolant control valve.

Operation

•  The signal, which varies according to the open/closed condition of the coolant control valve, is sent to the PCM.
