Purpose/Function

•  Detects the engine oil temperature as basic information for mainly intake stroke EGR using double exhaust valve actuation system (IDEVA) control and idle speed control.
•  Detects the engine oil temperature and sends it to the PCM as an engine oil temperature signal.

Construction

•  Built into the engine oil temperature sensor/engine oil pressure sensor.

•  A thermistor has been adopted as the detecting element for detecting the engine oil temperature.

Operation

•  Sends the signal, which fluctuates according to the engine oil temperature, to the PCM.
