Driving Range Judgement

•  The PCM performs the automatic shift control while the D position switch on and the M position switch off.

Driving Mode Judgement

•  In the automatic shift mode, the vehicle is ordinarily in NORMAL mode. However, when specific conditions are met, the PCM selects a shifting pattern appropriate to driving conditions and switches automatically.

Driving Mode

Description
POEWR mode
When above a certain vehicle speed and the accelerator pedal depressing speed is above the preset value, the PCM shifts the shift point to high vehicle speed side.
Low ATF temperature mode
When the ATF temperature is low, the PCM inhibits 4GR.
High ATF temperature mode
When the ATF temperature is high, the PCM shifts the TCC point to low vehicle speed side.
