LINE PRESSURE CONTROL OPERATION [FN4A-EL]
id051701287400
• The PCM adjusts the pressure control solenoid pressure by changing the electrical current to the pressure control solenoid.
• The pressure control solenoid pressure acts left side of the pressure regulator valve and controls it’s movement.
Line Pressure Low
• When the electrical current to the pressure control solenoid is increased, the pressure control solenoid pressure becomes lower due to the drain port is open.
• Because the pressure control solenoid pressure cannot push the pressure regulator valve to right side, the line pressure is drained.
• As a result, the pressure regulator valve maintains low line pressure.
Line Pressure High
• When the electrical current to the pressure control solenoid is decreased, the pressure control solenoid pressure becomes higher due to the drain port is closed.
• Because the pressure control solenoid pressure can push the pressure regulator valve to right side, the line pressure is not drained.
• As a result, the pressure regulator valve maintains high line pressure.
