MICROPHONE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [MZR 1.6].) 2.  Remove the front map light. (See FRONT MAP LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  While pressing the tabs A of the microphone in the direction of the arrows (1) shown in the figure using a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver, pull the microphone in the direction of the arrow (2) shown in the figure to detach the tabs A of the microphone from the front map light.

4.  While pulling the tabs B of the microphone in the direction of the arrow (1) shown in the figure, pull the microphone in the direction of the arrow (2) shown in the figure to detach the tabs B of the microphone from the front map light.

5.  Remove the microphone.

6.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
