DOOR AJAR WARNING DISPLAY

Purpose

• The door-ajar warning light notifies the driver that any door or the trunk lid (4SD)/liftgate (5HB) is open.

Function

• When the instrument cluster receives any of the following signals sent from the rear body control module (RBCM) via the CAN signal, the door-ajar warning light illuminates.

― Door latch switch ON signal (door open)

― Trunk lid latch switch ON signal (trunk lid open) (4SD)

― Liftgate latch switch ON signal (liftgate open) (5HB)

Construction

• The door-ajar warning is displayed in the multi-information display of the instrument cluster.

Operation

1. The instrument cluster receives (1) the door latch switch ON signal or trunk lid (4SD)/liftgate (5HB) latch switch ON signal from the rear body control module (RBCM).

2. When any received signal indicates that door is open, the instrument cluster displays (2) the door-ajar warning in the multi-information display.
